Caban Systems sells integrated renewable batteries and software to global telecom operators, replacing dirty diesel generators, expanding near and off-grid power to all corners of the world and creating a new decentralized and renewable grid. Caban was founded to stop the rolling brownouts and blackouts so often encountered with our traditional grid, and has rapidly expanded to install their batteries across global telecom tower networks. Caban’s integrated software platform provides power generation analytics, load balancing and automated maintenance requests. BCP led Caban’s Series B round in 2022.

Greyscale AI (GSAI) sells a hardware and software solution that uses advanced AI and vision technology to automatically identify contaminants in our food supply. GSAI’s technology automatically identifies packaging defects and micro plastics, metals, bones, rocks and more to a level far below what the human eye can, and provides a repository of food production and quality analytics to customers. GSAI dramatically improves gross margins for customers, removes recall risks and ensures the food we consume is safe and healthy. BCP led GSAI’s Series A round in 2022.
Ryp Labs

Ryp Labs protects fruit and vegetables from pathological infections stopping premature rotting, improving sustainability and combating global food wastage. Ryp’s patented biomimicry solutions are sold to retailers and distributors as labels, sachets and coatings, extending the shelf life of fruit and vegetables in all-natural way. There is currently $2.6 trillion of food wasted each year. $1.1 trillion of all food waste is fruits and vegetables, which contributes to $495 billion of annual losses across our global economy. BCP facilitated a direct investment for LPs through an SPV that invested in Ryp Labs’’s Series A in 2022

AquaPrawnics

Aquaprawnics farms indoor, sustainable shrimp using a recirculating recycling aquaculture (RAS) and biofloc technology, to produce a sustainable, local and delicious protein source for American retailers, distributors and consumers. Shrimp is the largest consumed seafood in the world, the size of the salmon and tuna market combined, and more than 90% of American shrimp is imported. The shrimp industry is also one of the largest contributors to ocean destruction – for every 1lb of shrimp caught in the oceans, there is 9lbs of bycatch (the surrounding ecosystem destroyed). BCP led AquaPrawnics’ Series Seed round in 2021.

The company’s patented technologies remove more than 4,000 tons of greenhouse gas emissions per oil well, the equivalent of removing the emissions of 1000 cars for each oil well. With more than 1.7 million wells in operation globally, Elite Measurements has the potential to remove the emissions equivalent to 1 trillion cars annually.
